The Secretariat of Academic Affairs, in coordination with the Quality and Development Department, meets with first-year students for academic orientation and discussion of examination results

As part of its continued commitment to monitoring students’ academic progress and enhancing the quality of the educational process, the Secretariat of Academic Affairs, in coordination with the Quality and Development Department, held an academic orientation session for first-year male and female students across various disciplines. The session aimed to review examination results, introduce students to academic regulations, and provide guidance that contributes to improving academic achievement and promoting academic excellence and success.

At the outset of the session, Professor Al-Tayeb Abdel Wahab, Coordinator of Quality and Development, provided an overview of the importance of academic regulations and their role in organizing students’ academic journey. He highlighted the key provisions and regulations that students should understand and adhere to, emphasizing that they serve as a fundamental reference for organizing academic life and defining students’ rights and responsibilities.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Adam Manfal provided an academic briefing addressing examination performance indicators, along with a comprehensive explanation of the cumulative grade point average system and the mechanisms for maintaining and improving it. He emphasized the importance of commitment and consistent academic effort, as well as making use of office hours and the various academic support and guidance programs available to students.

The session witnessed notable engagement from the students, who raised a number of questions and inquiries concerning academic regulations, study plans, and assessment mechanisms. These questions were thoroughly discussed and answered in an atmosphere characterized by positive dialogue and constructive interaction. The students expressed their appreciation for the importance of the session and the motivating guidance and advice it provided.
