Dar El Oloum College for Science and Technology held its 28th regular meeting of 2026, dedicated to discussing mechanisms for enhancing administrative performance and comprehensively advancing its research ecosystem. The meeting forms part of the College’s ongoing efforts to modernize its academic and institutional environment in line with contemporary scientific and technological developments.
During the meeting, the College officially approved its Strategic Research Plan (2026–2031), an ambitious five-year vision designed to enhance the quality and research output of postgraduate students and researchers through the launch and continuous support of specialized research projects that address community needs and national development priorities.
To enable the effective implementation of this vision and ensure the availability of the necessary resources, the meeting proposed allocating 2% of the College’s annual budget to support innovation initiatives and applied research projects. The recommendations also called for the establishment of an independent Research and Innovation Council and Administration to oversee research and innovation activities, strengthen governance and institutional effectiveness, and appoint a dedicated coordinator to manage implementation processes and ensure the continuous advancement of academic performance.
In support of sustainable development and broader institutional engagement, the College further emphasized the importance of building and activating strategic partnerships with public and private sector institutions. These collaborations are intended to align research outcomes with national development priorities and transform academic ideas and research projects into practical, sustainable solutions that contribute to economic growth and support the country's future aspirations.
