Convening of the Board of Trustees of Dar El Oloum College for Science and Technology

The Board of Trustees of Dar El Oloum College for Science and Technology held its regular meeting, chaired by the President of the Board, Professor Omar Mohammed Al-Tom, with the participation of the majority of members residing inside and outside Sudan.

The Board offered prayers for the acceptance of the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity, in which the regular and supporting forces made great sacrifices—without which educational institutions would not have been able to resume their operations. The Board also wished a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured, and affirmed the College’s unwavering stance—both literally and figuratively—alongside the national leadership in pursuit of clear and decisive victory.

The meeting reviewed the academic, financial, and administrative performance reports for the year 2025, presented by the College Dean, Professor Ibrahim Mohammed Adam; the College Registrar, Dr. Ali Wadaa; and the Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Adam Munfal. These reports covered the progress of academic programs and the administrative measures that enabled the College to achieve notable academic stability. This stability allowed the College to graduate several cohorts across its various programs—such as Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Sciences, Medical Laboratories, Information Technology, Administrative Sciences, and Economic & Banking Studies—despite the ongoing war, by operating from multiple centers for the convenience of students.

The Board also noted the successful return of the College to its original campus in Al-Lamab under the administrative unit of Al-Shajara, becoming one of the first institutions to fulfill the “Return” initiative. The Board inspected the ongoing maintenance and renovation works at the College buildings, the progress achieved, funding efforts for the remaining work, and the completed maintenance of the laboratories and mortuary, all of which prepare the College to receive both current and newly admitted students.

Furthermore, the Board was briefed on the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed with several Sudanese universities and colleges, as well as peer institutions in Egypt, Canada, and the United States. The Board called for active implementation of these agreements in the best interest of the College and the country at large.
